Lakme fashion week collection 2015
The Lakme fashion week is known for an abundance of glitter,
fashion, glamour and stunning couture by designers.
Their purpose is to introduce new fashion and style for the
youth with their creative and innovative designs. Popular designer included
Shilpa Shetty, Anamika Khanna, Anushree Reddy, Satya Paul, Tarun Tahilliani and
Mandira Bedi.
Inauguration of Fashion week had done by Sabyasachi and
Manish Malhotra collection. The theme of the collection was summer/resort 2015
which held in Mumbai.
Sabyasachi collection was bold and eye-popping – heap of
crystals and glitters were the center of attention. Textile rich, sharp embroideries
and reminiscent of old romance were the theme of Sabyasachi collection.
The Blue runway collection was presented by the Manish
Malhotra and draws the attention to the gender based message. He added variety by
using jackets instead of scarves and accessories. It includes Wedding Lehengas, Jacket Lehengas, and plazzo pants with crop tops were amazing.

Day one was started with Sabyasachi, including sequined dresses, floaty boho dresses, print flared flats and tunics crystallized in bulk of shine.Sabyasachi collection was based on Calcuttan intellectual, textile rich, from an old romance to shiny-rich and glimpse of a new romance. Deepika Padukone, Kalki Koechlin and Sridevi were in front of the first row, but not “show stoppers”.
In Manish Malhotra collection, the blue color was dominated by indigo and navy, but really stole the spotlight on the 1st day of fashion week. It was more like a blue runway collection for summer/resort 2015. Models took the runway with crop tops, breezy gowns, sarees and floral long jackets.
